New Delhi (IP) - The display of the Indian aerial power in Chennai city ended with 233 people being killed and injured.

Iran Press/Asia: The aerial maneuver was supposed to present an exciting display of the Indian Air Force's power on the occasion of its 92nd birth anniversary, but the high temperature of the air mingled with the spectators' stampede and led to the incident.

Six spectators died and 227 others were hospitalized due to dehydration and stampede.

Some of the elderly participants suffered from heatstroke before the maneuver began.

Then, poor coordination in traffic management left millions stranded in Chennai after the air show.

The display was aimed at registering the maneuver in the Limca Book Record, bringing about 1,600,000 viewers to the event.
