The director-general of West Asia in Iran’s Foreign Ministry said that inclusive government is the only way to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan.

If Afghanistan's neighboring countries called for an inclusive government in the country, it is because they believe that an inclusive government is the only way to establish peace and stability there, Rasoul Mousavi said in a Twitter post on Tuesday.

Interest in peace and stability in the neighboring country is goodwill, not intervention, he added.

Representatives of the countries bordering Afghanistan met in Tehran on Wednesday to discuss how to coordinate actions in response to the change in government in the war-torn country.

The foreign ministers of the six nations bordering Afghanistan and Russia all participated in the conference on October 27, either online or in person.

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in that conference said that Afghanistan's neighbors should agree on a common position on Afghanistan.
