Borrell on Sudan:

High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy in his latest tweet called for Immediate cessation of hostilities in Sudan.

Iran PressEurope:  According to Iran Press on Saturday morning Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy tweeted: "Immediate cessation of hostilities needed now."

"Protection of civilians and foreign personnel on the ground is a must. Redoubling efforts on our coordinated cooperation," added he.

Earlier on Thursday morning according to Iran press citing Turkish Anatolia news agency, Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, had a telephone conversation with Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the secretary general of the Arab League.

Borrell has emphasized in this telephone conversation that he will continue to make calls with international partners to contain the ongoing crisis in Sudan, an immediate ceasefire, de-escalation, protection of civilians, and pressure to return to the transitional process.

He had said: "The European Union foreign ministers, who will meet next Monday in Luxembourg, will discuss the developments in Sudan and ask all foreign parties to refrain from interfering in Sudan's affairs."

Clashes in Sudan continued on Friday for the seventh day in a row, however; the Command of the Rapid Support Forces announced in a statement this morning: Based on international, regional, and domestic understandings, a humanitarian ceasefire was agreed for 72 hours from 6 am today.
