Tehran (IP): Iran’s presidential aide for legal affairs predicted that the International Court of Justice would get its jurisdiction in the case of Iran's complaint against the United States regarding the violation of the Treaty of Amity.

Iran Press/Iran news: Leila Joneidi on Wednesday, in response to Iran Press question about Iran's prediction on the outcome of International Court of Justice jurisdiction over the case of Iran's complaint against the United States regarding the violation of Treaty of Amity, Economic Relations, and Consular Rights said: "This case has been registered since July 2018 and there are a main demand and lawsuit over the case."

Joneidi added: "Iran has so far been able to grant interim order in specific areas, namely concerning food, agricultural items, medicine, and medical equipment, and air transport fleet."

She added: "According to the interim order, the International Court of Justice has asked the parties to refrain from any action that worsens the situation. In the last days of the previous US administration, this order was violated by imposing sanctions on 18 banks."

Concerning the main lawsuit, bills were exchanged. The investigation process was carried out; This investigation was related to the jurisdictional aspect, and the vote is being read today.
