IP - In an article for the 'Magyar Nemzet' newspaper, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has accused the leadership of the European Union of attempting to drag the bloc into hostilities in Ukraine to defeat Russia, despite Europe lacking the necessary forces and means to do so.

Iran PressEurope: According to the Hungarian head of state, people in Europe are witnessing "war, migration and stagnation of peace, instead of peace, order and development."

Orban further stated, "To make matters worse, the bubble of Brussels bureaucrats has led to some bad policy decisions in recent years.

Europe is increasingly dragged into a war in which the continent has nothing to gain and can easily lose everything."The Prime Minister asserted that no price is too high for Brussels regarding the war, writing, "The bureaucrats in Brussels want this war, consider it their own, and want to defeat Russia.

The money of Europeans is being channeled to Ukraine, sanctions have been a shot in the foot for European companies, they have spurred inflation and cast millions of European citizens into financial difficulties."Orban's scathing criticism of the EU's approach to the conflict in Ukraine highlights the growing divisions within the bloc over its response to the crisis.

While some member states have been staunch supporters of Ukraine and proponents of tough sanctions against Russia, others, like Hungary, have been more cautious and critical of the EU's actions.

The Hungarian Prime Minister's remarks underscore the complex geopolitical landscape in Europe and the EU's challenges as it navigates the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its consequences for the continent's economy and security.
