King Abdullah II of Jordan emphasized the urgent need for humanitarian aid to be delivered to the Gaza Strip without delay during a recent phone call with U.S. President Joe Biden, according to a statement released by the royal palace and reported by the Petra news agency.

Iran Press/West Asia: "His Majesty stressed the necessity of ending the war in Gaza immediately and ensuring the flow of sufficient aid through all crossings, while guaranteeing its delivery to civilians across the Strip without delay or hindrance," the statement noted.

The Jordanian monarch also urged the United States to create "a political horizon to achieve just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution."

Additionally, the two leaders discussed the situation in the West Bank and the importance of supporting the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah. King Abdullah called for an end to all unilateral measures and extremist settler attacks against Palestinians, as well as violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.

This dialogue underscores the ongoing challenges in the region and the critical need for international cooperation to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and promote stability in the broader Middle East.
