Iran Press/Iran news: He delivered a speech to a large gathering of Iranians from Tehran, Gilan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Markazi, and North Khorasan provinces. This address was given on the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir and just days before the presidential election on Friday.
The Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, regarding Eid al-Ghadir, which is the day of the announcement of the caliphate of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali Ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him), said: "There is a Quranic interpretation on this day which is very striking and significant."
Iran's leader went on to say: "Why did the infidels despair? This is because of the continuation of the political rule of Islam. At one time, there was an Islamic belief, there is an Islamic practice, but it is not an Islamic policy. It is not Islamic rule."
Ayatollah Khamenei said: "When the rule of Islam is established, the spirit of Islam will be truly realized. The spirit of Islam is embedded in Imamate. The meaning of Imamate is that this mission of the Prophet is implemented in the hearts of the people, in the thoughts of the people, and the actions and functions of the people. This is the meaning of Imamat."
In another part of his speech, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, referring to the holding of the 14th presidential election, stated: In three days, the Iranian nation will be put to a test.
Ayatollah Khamenei added: "One of the things that make the Islamic Republic win over its enemy is elections. People's participation is the essence of the Islamic Republic. In every election where the turnout was low, the enemies launched their verbal attacks."
Iran's leader emphasized that participation is not only for big cities, people must participate in villages and districts to make the Islamic Republic proud.
The leader added: "The late martyred president Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi firmly believed in the foundations of the revolution and the system, and the 13th government used the country's capacities well. Iran's inherent intelligence and talent are one of the country's capacities."
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that the one candidate who can use the country's opportunities and capacities is the best choice. The Islamic Republic has shown that it can advance without relying on foreigners and has advanced so far.
The leader added: "From the beginning, I have believed in interacting with the whole world, except for one or two exceptions. Anyone interested in a strong Iran should participate in the elections. Candidates should promise to their God that if they succeed; they do not get assistance from people who are far from the revolution's ideas. Whoever imagines that without the grace of the US it is not possible to make progress, he will not manage the administration well."
