The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has launched a series of attacks against Israeli military positions in the northern regions of the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories. The group announced on Sunday that it had carried out five separate strikes.

Iran Press/ West Asia: In a statement, Hezbollah confirmed that its forces targeted Israel's Al-Marj base with artillery fire as part of its ongoing operations in solidarity with the Palestinian people, particularly in response to the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Additionally, Hezbollah reported missile strikes on the Birkat Risha and al-Raheb military bases, along with drone attacks on two other Israeli military sites.

Israeli media has claimed that the regime's defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down one of the drones involved in the attacks.

This latest wave of attacks comes as Hezbollah and the Israeli military have been engaged in regular exchanges of fire across Lebanon's southern border since October 8, just a day after Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Gaza. Tensions in the region have escalated sharply in recent days, with Israel on high alert for potential retaliatory strikes from Hezbollah and Iran following the assassinations of senior Hamas and Hezbollah figures in Tehran and Beirut.
