Iran Press/ Iran news: Heavy downpours have been reported in the flood-hit province of Lorestan in western Iran. The torrential rain is so ferocious that evacuation orders have been issued for all those living close to a river, or whose homes are located on the banks of rivers.
As a matter of fact, the provincial officials in Lorestan have issued an evacuation decree for some 20000 people all across the province, Iran Press reported.
Furthermore, some 30 meters of a flood barrier wall in the town of Pol-e-Dokhtar have been damaged due to floodwaters and heavy rains. Municipal officials in Pol-e-Dokhtar have described the situation in the town as dangerous.
Meanwhile, flooding in the town of Pol-e-Dokhtar damaged residential homes and public buildings and infrastructure.
