Tehran (IP) - The Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) announced that the Islamic world needs sustainable security in three dimensions, national, regional, and international.

Iran PressIran news: Hamid Shahriari, speaking at the opening of the 37th International Islamic Unity Conference, said: "We hope that the Islamic world will move towards a just peace and try to remove the discourse of militancy from the region." Shahriari added: It is appreciated when all parties involved in the conflicts in Yemen and Syria refrain from violence and instead engage in dialogue to achieve lasting peace in the region. It is also important that Islamic countries increase their efforts to prevent further bloodshed and war.

One of the shared values that Islamic communities can focus on through collaboration is sustainable security at the national, regional, and global levels. This will enable Muslims to contribute to the development of a new Islamic civilization, as emphasized by the speaker.

He further pointed to the establishment of political relations between Tehran and Riyadh and added: "With the establishment of relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran, the most important development towards cooperation and friendship between Islamic countries took place, and a light of hope was lit in the hearts of the Islamic world that the two political schools have given up the conflict and taken effective measures towards cooperation."

He added: "I would like to thank both the 13th government of Ayatollah Raisi, who prioritized cooperation with neighbors. Furthermore, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia deserves appreciation for setting an exemplary standard of regional cooperation and moving away from religious nationalism. This serves as a model for other countries in the region to follow. These approaches have created the awareness that foreign governments can never provide sustainable development goals in the region. This bilateral move towards each other promises sustainable peace in the region and we hope that the cooperation between the two countries will expand and lead to synergy in knowledge and technology of regional security, political power, beneficial economic and cultural exchanges, and media convergence will replace religious divergence."

Shahriari said: "The enemies of Islam will never stop their enmity. The expulsion of America from Afghanistan is an unrepeatable opportunity for the comfort of the Afghan people. We hope that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan will take advantage of the opportunity to serve all ethnic groups and religions in a fair and honest manner, respecting the rights of all citizens and creating equal opportunities for all of them will remove the accusation of ethnicism. Ethnic and linguistic prejudices will have no other consequences than the return of losses and national strife."

"Collaboration between Islamic countries and allied nations like Russia and China can establish broad economic and political relations, as well as transform the Islamic world into a hub for cultural and economic exchanges. This pathway can lead to poverty reduction and pave the way for prosperity and well-being," the cleric said.
