The head of the political bureau of Hamas and the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement discussed a new proposal for a cease-fire in Gaza for the Paris meeting and the position of resistance in the negotiations.

Iran Press/ West Asia: Israeli, American, Egyptian and Qatari negotiators reached an agreement last Sunday in Paris on a framework to stop the war and the release of prisoners.

In this regard, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim, the Foreign Minister of Qatar, pointed out that the negotiations regarding the exchange of Palestinian and Israeli prisoners have progressed and said: "The current stage of the negotiations can lead to a permanent ceasefire in the future."

Based on this proposed plan, a comprehensive ceasefire and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, providing security for the refugees, rebuilding Gaza breaking its siege and exchanging prisoners should be done.

Also, in this regard, Ismail Haniyeh, the head, of the political bureau of Hamas and Ziad al-Nakhalah, the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, discussed in a phone call on Friday the draft agreement proposed for the Paris meeting and the pre-requisite of resistance in the negotiations.

In this conversation, Haniyeh and Al-Nakhalah emphasized that any negotiation should lead to the complete end of the aggression and the withdrawal of the occupying regime's forces from the Gaza Strip.

The two sides also noted that the talks should lead to the lifting of the blockade, the reconstruction of Gaza, the arrival of all vital needs and the implementation of a comprehensive prisoner exchange deal.

The head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement and the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement also emphasized that the resistance groups are on the side of Palestinian interests and protect and support the Palestinian nation.

Haniyeh and Al-Nakhalah also noted: "The heroic stability of our nation, the bravery of resistance and their political resolution will bring freedom, return to the homeland and independence for our people.

Earlier, after the release of the Qatar Foreign Ministry's statement that the Zionist regime agreed to the cease-fire plan in Gaza, Mahmoud Mardawi, one of the leaders of the Palestinian resistance movement "Hamas", said: "Any plan and agreement must include the cessation of the war in Gaza, the withdrawal of the  Israeli forces from this area and the release of Palestinian prisoners. 219
