Iran Press/Europe: Hamas movement on Wednesday issued a statement welcoming the decision of the International Criminal Court while urging the officials of the International Court of Justice not to give in to Israel's pressure and threats.
Hamas also stressed that this decision is a courageous and important step towards the realization of justice and rights of the Palestinian people along with the persecution of Israeli leaders for their crimes.
The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, issued a statement on Wednesday saying that an investigation into Israeli war crimes against independent and impartial Palestinians would be carried out.
The International Criminal Court in the Hague, the Netherlands, declared in February 2021 that it had jurisdiction over the case of Israel's war crimes against the Palestinians.
The action of the Hague Tribunal has been welcomed by the Palestinian and angered Israel.
