Iran Press/ Europe: In an interview with France 24 on Wednesday, Rafael Mariano Grossi, director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said a preliminary agreement remains "possible" as international negotiations on lifting the US sanctions against Iran have just resumed in Vienna.
But there is "little time left" and Tehran must guarantee more transparency to the IAEA, in Iran's own interest, he added.
The director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency stressed that the IAEA is not a party to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) agreement, but as an inspector and guarantor of the agreement, closely monitors the ongoing negotiations in Vienna.
Regarding 90% enrichment, Grossi said: "Currently, there is no 90% enrichment in Iran."
A Tel Aviv-based reporter for US news organization Axios on Monday reported that the Israeli regime had shared intelligence with Washington and European allies alleging Iran was taking technical steps to prepare to enrich uranium to 90% purity.
He added that JCPOA had set a limit of 3.67 percent for enrichment, but now 60 percent enrichment is being done, adding: "Iran is enriching at 20 percent at Fordow (Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant) and is increasing it."
Regarding his intention to visit Tehran again, Grossi said: "If he is invited, he will go to Iran in a minute."
Regarding the Tesa Complex in Karaj and Iran's statement that the IAEA surveillance cameras had failed during the sabotage operation, he said: "The IAEA condemns the sabotage. We hope that an agreement will be reached, which is very necessary."
