Iran Press/ West Asia: In an exclusive interview with Iran press Correspondent in Sana'a, The Grand Mufti of Yemen Shamseddin Sharafuddin stated the importance of the World Quds Day march regarding the developments in the Gaza Strip, that the commemoration of the World Quds Day this year is of special importance due to the continuation of the Gaza war for about six months and the difficult situation of the Palestinians.
The Grand Mufti of Yemen emphasized that the Quds Day has kept the Palestinian issue alive, and the enemies of Islam are trying to forget the cause and issue of Palestine in the minds and hearts of the Islamic Ummah so that they can continue to occupy, and commit crimes and usurp the Palestinian land.
"Shamseddin Sharafuddin stated that World Quds Day sends a message to the enemies that the Arab and Islamic nations will not forget the cause of the Palestinian nation and despite the difficulties, victory is near.
The Grand Mufti of Yemen also said that commemorating World Quds Day is important for promoting Islamic and Arabic values, brotherhood and principles.
On the initiative of Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan has been named the World Quds Day aiming at keeping the cause of Palestine alive as the first issue of the Islamic world.
