Iran Press/Iran news: He continued, “I am happy that this project has improved our farmers’ conditions, and the increase in production has made the dear farmers of this province happy”.
“The fact that in the first phase of implementing this project, 295000 hectares of farmlands in Khuzestan have been covered and this move has increased the production of agricultural products,” continued Rouhani, Iran Press reported.
He said that the people of khuzestan are very brave and have defended the country for 8 years, saying, “God has bestowed many blessings on the people of this land”.
“The implementation of this project will contribute to the people of this region to not emigrate and we are very happy about this,” he added.
He also referred to his aerial visit to dams and rivers of the region saying, “Today’s visit had two parts; the first part was areas that were affected by the latest floods”.
“The Hawizeh Marshes is full of water today and the water level in Karkheh has increased,” he said, adding, “With regards to the rainfalls in the coming days, we need to manage the water levels and dams in this region to prevent possible damages”.
Referring to the second part of his visit he said, “In the last visit to this province in 2013, we promised the people to operationalize the 550k-hectare water supply in this province”.
“I am very happy that opening the first phase of this project with covering nearly 300000 hectares of the farmlands in this province has been implemented and we’re determined to implement and operationalize the second phase of this project”. 105
