Iran Press/ Iran news: In response to a question of Iran Press about the opening of the Gore-Jask oil pipeline, Ali Rabiei said: "construction and operation of the Gore-Jask oil pipeline megaproject for Iran included a set of security, economic, and development goals.
Rabiei said that Goreh-Jask pipeline and Makran export facilities would reach their real and strategic importance when Iran exceeded its current production capacity of 4 million barrels per day and reached a level of producing more than 6.5 barrels per day.
The spokesman added that increasing oil production with the focus on increasing oil extraction would create new capacity for the oil industry.
He also highlighted the engagement of the Iranian companies in different stages of design and implementation of the project and considered it as a factor that rose the level of domestic technical and engineering knowledge in the oil industry.
