The ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to international organizations based in Vienna stated on Twitter that Iran will not accept any restrictions on its oil production and exports.

Iran PressEurope: Kazem Gharibabadi added that this issue will be just a national decision and not a decision to be made through joint efforts.

Earlier, Russia's permanent representative to international organizations based in Vienna tweeted that he hopes that Iran would join efforts to maintain stability in the oil market when sanctions are lifted.

"After reviving its oil exports, Iran is participating in OPEC Plus' efforts to stabilize prices in the global oil market," Mikhail Ulyanov tweeted.

OPEC Plus, which includes members of OPEC and its allies, cut production by an unprecedented 10 million barrels a day last year amid a slump in demand due to the coronavirus pandemic and falling prices.

Under the new agreement, major oil producers will increase production by 400,000 barrels per day from August to December this year. 219
