Germany and France imposed new sanctions against Tehran in continuation of their hostile actions and by repeating baseless claims about Iran sending ballistic missiles to Russia.

Iran Press/Europe: Earlier on Tuesday, the UK government announced new sanctions, adding seven designations under its Iran-Russia sanctions law.

France and Germany in a statement said: "We will take immediate steps to cancel the bilateral air service contracts with Iran. In addition, important people and individuals related to Iran's missile program and those involved in the transfer of it and other weapons to Russia will be sanctioned. We will also work to impose sanctions against Iran Air."

Some of those sanctioned included firms and organizations with ties to the drone industries in Russia and Iran.

The announcement came after US Secretary of State Antony Blinken claimed Russia had received ballistic missiles from Iran and would likely use them in Ukraine within weeks.

Ballistic missiles that never reached Russia

Iranian envoy at the UN has officially said: “Iran’s position vis-à-vis the Ukraine conflict remains unchanged. Iran considers the provision of military assistance to the parties engaged in the conflict which leads to increased human casualties, destruction of infrastructure, and a distancing from ceasefire negotiations to be inhumane.”

Amir Saeed Iravani emphasized: "Iran once again emphasizes its inviolable commitment to comply with international humanitarian law."

Iran's Envoy at UN: Tehran's position on Ukraine conflict has not changed

Yesterday, in his weekly presser, Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Iranian Foreign Ministry: "We have a clear position regarding the developments in Ukraine, and it is unfortunate that some parties, who are themselves part of the war and conflict in Ukraine crisis, raise accusations against Iran with political motives. We are not part of the war and conflict in the issue of Ukraine, and we have repeatedly emphasized that Tehran considers the political solution to be the best way to solve this crisis." 219
