Tehran (IP) - Speaking about the various aspects of Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani's personality, the former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali said General Soleimani was the only one who localized the resistance in West Asia, and therefore his martyrdom would not undermine his achievements."

Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the conference "Analysis of the Role of Lieutenant General Soleimani in the Development of Regional, Global Security, Justice and Peace" in Tehran on Sunday, the former Iranian ambassador to Beirut emphasized Qassem Soleimani's role in localizing resistance in West Asia.

Key speakers at the conference included the former ambassador to Lebanon Mohammad Fathali, a member of the World Islamic Peace Forum, Mohsen Pakaeen, senior adviser for International Affairs to the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament,  Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

Speaking at the conference Mohammad Fathali said: "Our region has numerous actors and interests and this region is a breeding ground for conflicts. International and trans-regional developments combine regional crises with international threats".

He further referred to the Syrian crisis, adding, "The Syrian crisis was an internal one, but regional and international players intervened and turned it into a threat to world peace and security".

In another part of his remarks, the former Iranian ambassador to Lebanon said, "We are confronted with two types of actors: destabilizing and agitating actors; a destabilizer illegally enters a country and takes over its capital. The recent example is the Zionist regime in the Lebanese capital. Agitators include the recent example of ISIS, which actually changed the geographical and political landscape of the region."

Fathali added: "We've always been in West Asia, and anyone who wants to be a major precise actor in this region must pay attention to the three important factors of geography, politics, and power."

The former ambassador pointed to the role of General Soleimani in stabilizing West Asia and said: "The Great General Soleimani was a phenomenon of the century. Today we are witnessing the results of his work in the region."

"The first thing Soleimani did was to strengthen the financial resources of the activists. He went nowhere unless there was an external threat, such as the Zionist invasion of Lebanon, the security threat that ISIS posed in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon", he highlighted.

Soleimani's second move was to try to nurture the players in their national setting. That is, each group had a native version. Therefore, no one can defeat these powers because these groups are institutionalized in their country.

Soleimani's third move was to strengthen the sources of discourse. Only he was able to bring together fighters from six nations to fight the ideology of ISIS, a phenomenon that has occurred in the history of Islam and humanity.
