Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian people gathered at Palestine Square, Tehran and honoured 32 Saudi Shiite Muslims recently executed by the Saudi regime.
They also chanted slogans against Saudi officials and the Al-e-Saud regime, Iran Press reported.
On 24 April, Saudi Arabia executed 37 people in a single day for alleged 'terrorism crimes' but in fact, it was a crackdown led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman against Shiites opponents jailed for the pro-democracy campaign, human rights activity and peaceful protest.
The executions took place in the capital Riyadh, the Muslim holy cities of Mecca and Medina and especially the central province of Qassim, oil-rich and Shia-populated Eastern Province and the kingdom’s southern province of Asir.
The convicts were all Saudi nationals and one of the condemned was crucified after the execution.
According to Amnesty International, at least 104 people have been executed in Saudi Arabia so far this year.
Since Prince Mohammed bin Salman first emerged onto the kingdom's political scene in 2015, he has overseen an intensified crackdown on dissent.
