IP- France has delivered a proposal to Lebanon that aims to end fighting between Hezbollah and Israel on the border, the Reuters news agency reports, citing anonymous Lebanese and French officials.

The proposal, delivered to high-ranking Lebanese officials including Prime Minister Najib Mikati, would also aim to settle a long-running border dispute between Israel and Lebanon, as well as ensure Hezbollah’s elite unit withdraws to 10km (6 miles) from the Israeli border.

The three-step plan is intended to end a conflict “that risks spiralling out of control”, the document says. 204
