West Bank (IP) – The Israeli military has confirmed that four of its soldiers were injured during a resistance operation near Bethlehem, following an incident involving a Palestinian vehicle.

Iran Press/West Asia: According to the military, the vehicle crashed into a military checkpoint near the city and attempted to run over soldiers.

In a statement, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that during an operation in the Al-Khader town, west of Bethlehem, a Palestinian vehicle breached a checkpoint and carried out a ramming attack. The vehicle fled the scene shortly afterward, and the incident is currently under investigation. Additional military forces have been dispatched to the area.

Israeli media reported that the ramming attack resulted in two Israeli soldiers being injured. However, Al-Masirah news outlet reported that the number of injured soldiers was four.

This operation comes amid an escalation in Israeli aggression in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, following the ongoing genocidal campaign on Gaza since the beginning of October 2023. These aggressions in the West Bank have led to the deaths of at least 779 Palestinians, with around 6,300 others wounded and over 11,600 arrested.

Since October 7, 2023, Israeli forces, with U.S. support, have intensified their attacks on Gaza, which have resulted in widespread destruction and a devastating humanitarian crisis. Over 146,000 Palestinians have been killed or injured, the majority of whom are women and children. Additionally, more than 10,000 people remain missing.
