Iran Press/ Asia: He was alleged of the wrongful use of official secret information and illegal retention of the Cipher telegram.
Mr. Qureshi appeared in the local court of Islamabad on Sunday, FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) requested the Court for Physical Remand of Mr. Qureshi, which was accepted by the Court.
The Duty Magistrate Mr. Ehtesham Alam approved a day of Physical Remand of Mr. Qureshi and he will appear in the court tomorrow.
The former Foreign Minister of Pakistan is now in the custody of the investigation agency till tomorrow. While leaving the court Shah Mehmood Qureshi said, “ I never compromised and I was neither a part of any conspiracy nor I have any intentions, this is only a propaganda case on political bases”.
While, Asad Umar, the former Finance Minister is also arrested today in the same case of Cipher investigation, he will be investigated for a secret meeting with the American ambassador as well, sources told Iran Press.
