Iran Press/ Iran: Major General Bagheri on Tuesday while touring equipment and military forces preparedness deployed in the city of Bumusa, said: "Regional enemies should know that Islamic Republic of Iran has powerful military presence in the region in addition to doctrine of peace."
"Security in the Persian Gulf islands and Hormuz Strait has been achieved through the struggles of the top forces, using most updated military equipment and armed forces’ sacrifices and capabilities," Chief of staff of the Iranian Armed Forces stated, IRNA reported.
Iranian official warned several times that foreign military presence specially US in the region is against the regional countries' interest and called for regional cooperation for stablishing security and stability in the region.

On Dec 29, 2018, Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif called the US military presence in the waters of the Persian Gulf, as a cause of tension, and plain wrong.
Warning to some regional states who invited US to hatch plots in Persian Gulf, General Bagheri said: “Regional enemies should know that in addition to doctrine of peace, Iran has a strong military presence.”
Iran has always favored peace and friendship, as even the war games were held for the same purpose, he emphasized.
