Foreign Minister has reiterated that the window of diplomacy is still open only because of Iran's dynamic initiatives.

In a tweet on Monday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that reaching a final agreement "needs US' acceptance of realities, flexibility, and initiatives."

On Twitter, Amir-Abdollahian considered that US President Joe Biden "cannot impose US' one-sided views through accusation and sanction," adding that "diplomacy is not a one-way street."

The Iranian top diplomat underlined that "if window of diplomacy is still open, that's because of Iran's dynamic initiatives."

Earlier, Amir-Abdollahian held talks in Rome with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio, where he pointed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

During the meeting, he said, "We want JCPOA to work well. We seriously want a good and lasting agreement. We believe that Iran should be able to take full advantage of the JCPOA economically."

Amir-Abdollahian pointed out that "America should understand this fact well in the field of guarantees." In this regard, the Islamic Republic of Iran has always presented its own initiatives.

"However, the Americans have not acted appropriately and rationally. They should understand the issue in a realistic manner," he added.

Amir-Abdollahian had previously stressed that “the road to diplomacy is open," noting that Tehran has "always put forward our suggestions and positive ideas in the negotiations."

He also underscored that his country does not have any demands that go beyond the nuclear agreement, contrary to the US allegations.

It is noteworthy that on June 28, the Qatari capital of Doha hosted indirect talks between Iran and the United States over reviving the 2015 JCPOA with major powers.
