Syria (IP) - Tehran condemns the illegal presence of the American force in part of the Syrian territory, said the Iranian Foreign Minister.

Iran Press/ West Asia:  Holding a joint press conference with his Syrian counterpart Faisal al-Mikdad on Sunday evening, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said in a meeting with Faisal Mikdad, that regional and international issues were discussed and the pursuit of the two countries' agreements was stressed.

Amir-Abdollahain told reporters in the press conference that the security of the regional countries is a common concern of Iran and Syria.

He highlighted Iran's record of co-fight against ISIS terrorists in Sriya, and said: "As the Iranian military advisors stood firmly with Syria during the fight against terrorism, we will still support the Syrian government in the fight against terrorism."

Iran's FM then referred to the Israeli crimes ongoing in the region especially in Palestine and stressed that that Israeli crimes in the region have not been left unanswered.

The Iranian FM pointed to the Palestinian issue and said today Netanyahu has been trapped in a quagmire and Gaza has turned into the grave of the Israeli troops.

There is no option but a political solution, avoiding war and stopping the genocide in Gaza and the war crimes in the West Bank, he stated.

Amir-Abdollahian said the Islamic Republic would actively try to stop the Israeli genocide, opening the passage to enter humanitarian aid to Gaza and preventing the forced relocation of the Gazans and West Bank dwellers to Egypt's Saina Desert and parts of Jordan.

"While in Lebanon and meeting with the Palestinian resistance senior officials, I was informed of the high resilience and power of the resistance front to continue its mission for defending Palestine and establishment of sustainable security and stability in the region."

He pointed out that Iran will continue consultations with the authorities of Syria and other Islamic and Arab countries to help Palestine.

Amir-Abdollahian noted that the key to restoring security to Gaza is to stop the US-Israeli joint war crimes against the Palestinian people and that war is never the solution.

FM Amir-Abdollahian submitted the Iranian President Raisi's official invitation to the Syrian President Bashar al-Asad to Visit Tehran.

Syrian FM: Iran, Syria have common view on Palestine issue

Speaking at a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Syrian FM Faisal Mekdad said the meeting with Iran's FM has coincided with the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, which had a great impact in the region.

"During the victory of the Islamic Revolution, many people said: Will this revolution continue? Today, after about half a century, it proved that it did," al-Mekdad said.

Syrian FM congratulated the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and the President and the people of Iran.

He went on his words referring to the Palestinian issue: "I am sure that we and Iran share common opinions about Gaza and the tragedy Israel is making there, and that it has made the general public aware of the true nature of the Israeli regime and that why Muslim countries oppose this regime."

He also pointed to the US occupation of Syria, noting that Syria does not believe in the US statements, and the solution is to leave because their presence is illegal.

"The US  should be held accountable for its recent bombings in Raqqa and other places. We are sure that eventually the foreign forces will leave Syria," he concluded.
