Iranian Ambassador to France Bahram Qasemi

Iran’s Ambassador to France reported that the first charter plane of Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) left Bordeaux of France to Iran on Sunday.

Iran PressEurope: Bahram Qasemi wrote on his twitter account that the plane carries a field hospital equipment, medicines, mask, special clothing for medical staff, as well as other items.

In the current anxious world of coronavirus, reinforcing global solidarity is necessary, Qasemi added.

Sending separate letters to several top officials and political, parliamentary, cultural and media figures in France last week, Iran’s Ambassador to France referred to the US unilateral sanctions against Tehran and its negative impact on the country's fight against the coronavirus, saying that the world should not neglect the human life to such an extent under the influence of the US' unilateralism.

Doctors Without Borders is an international humanitarian medical non-governmental organization of French origin best known for its projects in conflict zones and in countries affected by endemic diseases.

Head of Iran's Health Ministry Public Relations Office Kianoush Jahanpour said on Sunday that 7,913 people out of a total of 21,638 infected by the coronavirus have survived the deadly disease while 1,685 have unfortunately succumbed to death.
