Iran Press/ Iran news: Nasser Ebrahimi stated that the fire brigade was carrying out cooling operations on the reservoir.
He added: “At around 2 AM on Tuesday, the Kharg petrochemical gasoline reservoir caught fire. The fire was completely extinguished during the 4-hour efforts of the fire fighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation."
Kharg Island is one of the districts of Bushehr city, recognized as the largest oil export terminal in Iran, and is located 57 km northwest of Bushehr port.
In addition to oil terminals, petrochemical, methanol, and offshore companies operate on the island.
