Iran Press/Europe: Brigadier General Qadir Nezami who has traveled to Moscow noted Iran and Russia, as two strategic partners, have close strategic cooperation in many areas including naval, land, technical, defense and operational matters.
General Nezami added that regional issues and security of west Asia are of the other axes of cooperation between Tehran and Moscow, Iran Press reported.
Noting that the general orientation of Iran and Russia's relations is addressed in the joint commission of cooperation between the two countries, he said with the agreement of both sides the commission is supposed to determine the general process of cooperation and its scope in a planned way.
Besides bilateral meetings and discussion with Russia's Aerospace Force Commander and Deputy Chief of Staff of Armed Forces, Iranian military delegation is scheduled to visit the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Iranian General said.
