Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Monday on the sidelines of the parliament open session, Jalil Rahimi said that the reform of gas price was an inevitable issue to the country, so attempts must be done to prevent pressure on people and more precisely control the consequences of price hikes as well as the venue obtained from the gas price reform.
He went on to say that the parliament presented two single-urgency bills yesterday monitoring of spending venues which have been generated of the gas price hike.
He referred to the presence of the Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade, Minister of Justice, and the Head of Governmental Discretionary Punishment Organization in the parliament open session to explain their supervisory measures.
Rahimi expressed satisfaction over the supervisory measures, yet he said that the parliament should increase its monitoring through legislation and with the contribution of other ministries.
In any country, he continued, whatever the price of gas or other energy carriers goes high and whatever level of control over inflation, increasing the prices of other commodities is inevitable.
He expressed hope that the gas price hike does not exert pressure on people. 104/209
