Iranian Foreign Minister said Europeans are too conservative with US sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran Press/Europe: Speaking to the Iranians living in Sweden, Mohammad Javad Zarif said, "The Instrument in Support of Trade Exchanges (INSTEX), a trading system that core EU members set up to bypass US sanctions on Iran, may not be the cure for our problems in the short term, but it does reflect the fact that the US' closest allies have devised a mechanism to circumvent it. Of course, I feel that Europeans are overly conservative with sanctions."

Referring to US economic terrorism against the Iranian people, he said, "Americans officially say that if the Iranian people want to eat bread, you need to change your policies. This means intimidation to achieve political ends, ie terror. The target of this terrorism is ordinary Iranians."

INSTEX should include Iran's oil sales: Zarif

"INSTEX may not be very effective in countering the US economic terrorism that is being inflicted on Iran today, but in the long run it indicates a trend that is making economies slowly move away from the dollar," Zaif added.

Iranian Foreign Minister stated that INSTEX can only be useful if Iran can use it to buy food and medicine, to buy machinery, and so on.
