The European Space Agency's JUICE spacecraft is set to begin its eight-year mission to the far reaches of the solar system on April 13. This spacecraft will travel a distance of 884 million kilometers to Jupiter and its moons.

Iran PressSci & Tech: In a statement released by the European Space Agency, it is reported that "JUICE" which stands for the Jupiter Icy Moons Exploration,  will be launched in April 2023 from the spaceport in French Guiana on an Ariane-5 rocket.

Jupiter, its magnetic environment, and its moons form one of the most intriguing systems in the Solar System. ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice), planned for launch in 2023 and arrival at Jupiter in 2031, will reveal more about this fascinating planet and its natural satellites.

There is good evidence that these icy globules—Callisto, Europa, and Ganymede—contain oceans of liquid water deep within them.

The purpose of ESA's mission is to answer the question of whether these moons have the necessary conditions for life to survive.
