Iran Press/ Asia: In this telephone conversation, Jeyhun Bayramov accused Armenia of violating the second humanitarian ceasefire agreement reached between the country and the Republic of Azerbaijan in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"Despite the ceasefire, Armenian forces attacked the positions of the Azerbaijani army in the town of Jibril in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as in the towns of Gadehbeyk and Tavuz on the border between the two countries," Bayramov said.
Referring to a statement by an EU spokesman on the Armenian missile attack on the city of Ganja, Borrell called the attack on infrastructure, units and civilians unacceptable.
He stressed the importance of observing the ceasefire reached by the parties and the need to start basic negotiations to resolve this conflict.
As a result of a rocket attack by Armenian forces on Ganja, the second largest city of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 22 people have been killed and 74 wounded so far.
New clashes between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia began on September 27 in the disputed region of Nagorno-Karabakh, killing a number of troops on both sides; meanwhile, the efforts by the OSCE Minsk Group to establish a ceasefire and resolve the Baku-Yerevan conflict has been fruitless so far.
