Iraqi sources announced that the president of Türkiye will visit Iraq soon, and the main focus of this trip will be to examine issues related to water resources.

Iran PressMiddle East: According to Iran Press, quoting Alforat News, "Khalid Shamal", the spokesman of the Ministry of Water Resources of Iraq, announced on Monday: "Recep Tayyip Erdoğan" the President of Türkiye, will visit Iraq soon and the main focus of his visit will be to review the case related to water resources.

Khalid Shamal added: "The Ministry of Water Resources of Iraq sent a technical delegation to Türkiye to discuss the developments of this case with the Turkish side. The Ministry of Water Resources hopes that during the summer season, a suitable and acceptable amount of water will be released and flow in the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Water Resources of Iraq stated: "The Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shayya’ Al-Sudani, eliminated the stagnation in the water resources case between Iraq, Türkiye, and Iran and turned this case from a diplomatic point into a sovereign case, which he personally follows up on.

Regarding the progress of this case, the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources spokesperson said: "Al-Sudani, by visiting Türkiye, satisfied this country to increase the volume of water released from upstream for 35 days. During his frequent visits to Iran, he also succeeded in promoting the issue of water resources at the common borders.
