According to some reports, American troops have re-entered to the northeastern Syrian province of Hasaka from their military bases inside Iraq, despite president Trump ordering US troops to leave the country just a few weeks ago.

Iran Press/Middle East: The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday that it has monitored vehicles of the American Forces that entered Syrian territory after midnight from northern Iraq, through the al-Walid crossing.

The column, which includes “dozens of soldiers and military hardware” is supported by US combat helicopters according to Syrian television report.

US President Donald Trump abruptly announced the withdrawal of US troops from northeastern Syria earlier this month.

The withdrawal effectively granted Turkey a green light to carry out a long-planned invasion of northern Syria, targeting US-allied Kurdish forces in the region.

In a reversal of Donald Trump’s earlier order to withdraw all troops from the country, the US defence secretary has confirmed “mechanised forces” will be redeployed alongside American soldiers to protect oilfields in eastern Syria.

Moscow published satellite intelligence images proving that oil from Syria was sent abroad under the guard of US servicemen before and after the defeat of ISIS, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov stated on Saturday.

The oil was smuggled in convoys of fuel-carrying trucks, guarded both by US servicemen and the mercenaries of private military contractors (PMCs), Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov declared. 101/211
