Chief commander of IRGC:
Enemy has once again miscalculated in its plots against Iran
The chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) stressed that the enemies have once again miscalculated in their plot against the Islamic Republic.
He said the Iranian nation will resist with all its might the arrogant powers and the enemies, Iran Press reported.
Maj.Gen Salami further referred to the recent unrest in Iran, stating that, "In recent weeks, the Iranian nation has slapped in the face of the United States. They wanted to link economic sanctions and psychological warfare to an incident inside our country. But they did not know that Iran was an artist in turning sanctions into the best opportunities."
The rioters took advantage of a series of public protests that broke out in Iran on November 15 after the government announced a gasoline rationing measure.
The Head of the IRGC said the revolutionary Iranian nation, and the revolutionary Basij (volunteer) forces will wipe out the enemy "in a sea of revolutionary fervor".
Major General Salami noted that the Basij (volunteer) forces and the IRGC will defend the Islamic Republic until their last breath and with all their might.
