Afghan MPs asked for Ghani apology for his visit with Trump in Bagram airbase

Numbers of the parliament of Afghanistan members criticized the country's President for his recent visit with the US president in Bagram airbase, asked his apology to Afghan people.

Iran Press/Iran news: Members of the parliament of Afghanistan denounced the recent visit between US President Donald Trump and his Afghan counterpart in Bagram airbase, Iran Press reported.

Afghan MPs said that "Going to Bagram, Ghani has questioned the country's independence and insulted the Afghan people".

Commending on former president, Hamid Karzai's refusal to visit then US president in Bagram, Afghan MPs emphasized that the president Ashraf Ghani has hurt national sentiments and should apologize to the citizens of the country.

"Americans do not need a visa to enter Afghanistan, and they come to our country at any time they want and summon our political authorities; what kind of independence it is?," said Balqis Roshan, Farah's representative to parliament, in a meeting.

"To be independent is an empty claim, Trump behaves as he is the owner of this country and our politicians are just serving him like one of his governors," she said.   

On Thursday, December 7, the US President Donald Trump made a surprise Thanksgiving visit to Afghanistan.
