IP - Eid al-Fitr prayer was held by the Turkish people as well as the Iranians living in Türkiye at the Iranian Cultural Consultation Center in Ankara.

Iran PressAsia: Eid al-Fitr is celebrated by Muslims worldwide as it marks the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramadan.

On Eid al-Fitr, Muslims thank and show gratefulness to Allah (God) for offering them health and resistance during Ramadan. They wear new clothes, prepare special delicacies, do charity, and get together with their loved ones.

Ramadan this year was overshadowed by the Israeli war in Gaza, where Israel has killed at least 33,000 people, mostly women and children.

Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Syria, UAE and Türkiye, Egypt, Kuwait, Yemen, Palestine, Lebanon, and Jordan announced Friday as the first of Shawwal and the day of Eid al-Fitr.
