Iran Press/Iran news: Referring to the visit of French president's special envoy to Iran, Hassan Rouhani said to Emmanuel Macron that the Islamic Republic insists on keeping all the doors open to dialogue for saving the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Calling France's efforts for saving JCPOA the important approach, Iranian President said that Iran and EU should do their best to save the deal, Iran Press reported.
Rouhani said: "The US increasing pressure on Iran makes challenges for saving the JCPOA. There are people in the US who do not want the success of attempts for saving JCPOA.
"US congress acts for stealing $1/5 billion of Iranian people's money is an example of those who want the failure of JCPOA," Iranian President noted.
"EU should increase its efforts to fulfill Iran's beneficial rights from JCPOA, and it should put a stop to US economic war with Iran," the President added.
"If the process of losing opportunities for saving JCPOA would continue, Iran will take the third step," Rouhani concluded.
On Jul. 08, the spokesman for the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Behrouz Kamalvandi said that the country will enrich uranium more than 20% in the 3rd step of easing its commitments in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
Tehran said in May, on the first anniversary of the US withdrawal from the nuclear deal, that it would reduce compliance with the nuclear pact it agreed with world powers in 2015, in protest at the United States’ decision to unilaterally pull out of the agreement and reimpose sanctions last year. /201
