Tehran (IP) - Head of Iran's Crisis Management Organization announced that the death toll of the recent floods has risen to 76 while 16 others are still missing.

Iran PressIran news: Flash floods began in 24 provinces of Iran on July 23 and still continue.

Mohammad Hassan Nami added that Tehran province had the highest rate of death toll due to floods, while Kerman, Yazd, and Mazandaran. Markazi, Sistan and Balouchestan and Lorestan provinces come next, respectively.  

Nami went on to say that  20 thousand residential buildings were destroyed, out of which 12000 houses need repairing while 7000 should be rebuilt completely.
