Palestine (IP) – An attack in the southern city of Be'er Sheva in the occupied territories has left one person dead and ten others injured. The incident took place at a bus station on Sunday, involving both firearms and knives, as reported by Israeli media.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The fatality was an Israeli border police officer, while ten others sustained injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital. The attacker, identified as a resident of the Negev region holding Israeli citizenship, launched the attack at three different locations within the central bus station.

Palestinian resistance groups, including Hamas, hailed the attack as a response to the Israeli genocide in Gaza. The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement characterized the incident as a blow to Israeli intelligence.

In a statement, Hamas framed it as retaliation for Israeli genocide in Gaza and the West Bank. The group emphasized that such operations would continue as long as Israeli aggression persisted in Palestinian territories.

This incident occurs against the backdrop of an ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and Lebanon that has intensified since October 7, last year, when Hamas launched a large-scale attack against Israel. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 41,000 Palestinians and injuries to nearly 100,000 others.
