He emphasized: "Clothes have always been of interest in Iran, and we have had a strong industry. Iranian clothing has always been of interest in the world as well.”
The Minister of Culture added: In recent years, this historical superiority has weakened and we are seeing the result.
Esmaili said: According to the statistics, in the last two years, the most employment was in the textile industry, and it shows that the government's direction is bearing fruitful.
He said: Good measures have been taken in the field of clothing, but it still does not meet the needs and we must try to make cheap and high-quality products available to people.
The first international exhibition and event "Creative Fashion and Clothing" was opened on Tuesday with the presence of the Minister of Culture.
This exhibition is being held on the 17th and 18th of October at the permanent location of Tehran International Exhibitions.
