Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi said that cultural and public diplomacy is a way to deepen and extend relations to make peace, security, and stability in the region.   

Iran Press/Iran news: In the sideline of the referral, farewell ceremony of the former and the new president of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECI) on Wednesday, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi in an exclusive interview with Iran Press said that various steps are required to have security, stability, and peace in the region and one of the factors is cultural measurements' public diplomacy.

"Cultural diplomacy is one of the tools necessary for all countries with a common culture, civilization, and identity to follow" Mousavi added.

Mousavi highlighted the ECO cultural institute's achievements in this regard and added, this institute has done a lot to make the ECO countries with cultural commonalities get closer together.

During the farewell ceremony in Tehran, the former president of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Cultural Institute Mohammad-Mehdi Mazaheri was honored for the activities during his presidency.
