Iran Press/Iran News: Ghasem Janbabaei said in a live presser on Sunday that after 6 months of hard work in hospitals and health centers, great accomplishments have been achieved in containing the coronavirus.
Janbabaei said with knowledge-based companies' support during the coronavirus outbreak, the medical sector of the country has been strengthened.
He noted that on the first day of the COVID-19 outbreak, there was only one laboratory "Pasteur" to diagnose it, but now there are 190 laboratories across the country.
Other achievements in this regard, the Iranian health official said, including providing the necessary infrastructures for telemedicine services to reduce the frequent physical visits of people to hospitals or clinics.
"Telemedicine services are active in 20 points of the country, and we hope to be equipped with it by the end of the current Iranian year all over the country", he explained.
Janbabaei expressed hope that health protocols will continuously be observed by people to help the reduction of the disease as soon as possible.
