Iran Press/ Iran News: At today's meeting of the National Task Force for Combatting Coronavirus, Hassan Rouhani congratulated the auspicious birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) and National Girl's Day.
He stated that Iran did not have the necessary equipment and facilities at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, but today it is self-sufficient and may be able to export diagnostic kits and perform 150,000 diagnostic procedures per day.
"The institutions worked hard and did a great job, and we have no shortage today," he added.
He pointed out that enough masks had been produced in a short time, and the price was balanced, noting that there was no problem in the country with detergents and the like, and everything was in abundance.
Compared to countries where stores had problems in the first weeks of the pandemic and took perhaps a month and a half to normalize the situation, Iran did not have unusual conditions even for a day, Rouhani said.
He said the situation was the same in medical equipment. For example, when there was a need for N95 masks, ventilators, and the likes, all were produced in the country; all urgent COVID needs were quickly met in the hospitals.
"Today, the deputy health minister reported that 50% of Iranian hospitals that were not equipped with ventilators, now all were provided, and today all hospitals have it; also, bout 250 CT scans were provided to the hospitals," he underlined.
