The conference was held on Wednesday evening as a commemoration ceremony of Welfare Week with Minister of Cooperatives, Labor, and Social Welfare Solat Mortazavi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in attendance as keynote speakers.

Attending the event, the Head of the Research Center of the Islamic Council, Babak Neghadari, stated that the role of people in the growth and flourishing of talents is very effective.

Neghadari emphasized that cooperatives have a very fundamental role in the economy.

He said: We need more participation of people in the society.

Babak Negahdari, Chairman of the Iranian Parliament's Center for Research, said in a speech at the ceremony that cooperative centers in nature seek to be altruistic in society and address the people's concerns, including social welfare, employment and livelihood, besides their economic agendas.

Negagdari said that in the Islamic Revolution's discourse, the legitimacy of governance is subject to its being people-oriented and divinity.

He referred to the cooperative sections as an intermediary link between the government, market, and people, which can fill the gaps between the private and public sectors in the country's economic sphere.

He stressed that corruption faded away wherever the people-centric entities stepped in to have economic activities and a healthy economy shaped and vice versa.
