Iran's President Hassan Rouhani and the members of his cabinet has voiced support for the commander of the aerospace division of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh after he said that the country’s missile production has increased threefold compared to the past.

Considering the military threats the country need more defensive power including missiles", Iran's President noted in a press conference.

"Regional security is our top priority, Washington likes it or not we will never let go our national interest", Rouhani concluded.

Meanwhile, Iranian government officials and experts have welcomed Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh's announcement and highlighted the importance of boosting the country’s defense capabilities.

Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said on Wednesday that Iran has increased its missile production three-fold.

US President Donald Trump has threatened to pull out of the deal unless three European signatories help “fix” it by forcing Iran to limit its sway in the Middle East and rein in its missile program.

But senior Iranian officials say that Iran’s ballistic missile program was not up for negotiation.
