Tehran (IP) - Iran's Judiciary Spokesman described the European Union's act in blacklisting Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a measure under the influence of Mojahedin-e-Khalq Organization's lobby.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the Spokesman of Iran's Judiciary Masoud Setayeshi elaborated on the Judiciary's reaction against EU's blacklisting of the IRGC, saying: "As you know, the action of the European Parliament was inappropriate and was done under the influence of the lobby of the MKO terrorist outfit."

He stated: "From our point of view, there will be no legal guarantee for it and it lacks authenticity according to the international and national law and even the European Union has not accepted it, but this action cannot be ignored easily."

"The IRGC is the official military force of Iran. We wonder why the European Union, which claims to respect the legalism and human rights, has acted against the strict letter of the regulations and the international law."

Setayeshi noted: "It seems that the European Parliament should have stood up to the MKO instead of blacklisting an independent national official army. The MKO acted as the supporter and main trainer of the terrorist groups in the region, including the ISIL, but the EU easily deals with them and it is indefensible and surprising."

"Everyone knows that the hands of the MKO terrorist group are stained with the blood of thousands of people in the region."

Seriously condemning the showy and unwise action of the European Parliament, Setayeshi further warned that Iran's Judiciary will consider and implement all the necessary and appropriate measures for the legal pursuit of this action through various organizations, including the Human Rights Headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other related places.
