Tehran (IP) - Iran's minister of interior said that recent anti-Iran EU move in recognizing the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist group is considered as a fatal blow to the European Union's lacklustre body.

Iran PressIran News: In response to the decision of the European Union to include the name of the IRGC in the list of terrorist groups, Ahmad Vahidi said: "Undoubtedly, the European Union will be the main victim of this decision, far from rationality and foresight."

In response to a journalist's question, Vahidi warned the European Union and emphasized: "This decision is a sign of the decline of rationality, exercising policy and realism of European countries."

The head of the country's security council said: "Europe's pure compliance with the US and the Zionist regime, as well as the influence of Europe's old-fashioned decision-makers from some people who have committed terrorist and anti-human acts for years inside and outside Iran, is a fatal blow to the European Union's lacklustre body."

Vahidi added: "European authorities turning a blind eye to the history-making and unprecedented actions of the IRGC in the fight against Takfiri and terrorist groups is a loss for the international community and will lead to the strengthening of terrorist groups."
