Tehran (IP) - The Vice Chairman of Iran's parliament stressed that the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the Bumousa, Great, and Lesser Tunb islands is absolute.

Iran PressIran News: The member states of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, in its joint final statement of their 43rd summit held in Riyadh with China, once again raised the UAE's baseless claims about the three Iranian islands.

In the statement, the leaders expressed their support for all peaceful efforts, including the initiative and efforts of the United Arab Emirates to achieve a peaceful solution to the issue of the three islands (Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb islands in the Persian Gulf) through bilateral negotiations in compliance with the standards of international law.

In his speech on Sunday, the Vice Chairman of Iran's parliament Ali Nikzad said that the policy of good neighborliness with neighbors has always been considered a fixed principle in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Nikzad said that the Iranian nation's firm defense of the Iraqi nation and government against the brutal attack of ISIS on this country is a good example of the policy of benevolence towards its neighbors, but the Islamic system is merciful towards its neighbors, but against any evil, it responds hard and decisively.

Nikzad stressed: "If we witness the enemy's excessive ambition, Iran's response will be powerful, strong, and regrettable. Whether it is ambitious in changing the borders in the plan of a neighbor, whether it is allowing mercenary groups in different parts of the country, or whether it is gossiping about the three islands belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He emphasized that the absolute sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran over the islands does not even require legal and international treaties of the United Nations, but a little museum tour and viewing of old maps is enough to prove that this is the Persian Gulf, not a word more and not a word less.

He noted that Iran welcomes the increase in economic exchanges with neighboring countries and does not interfere with their internal affairs, but Iran is serious about its territorial integrity.

"Of course, we have no problem with Khashoggi's killer, the spiritual mother of ISIS and the US' milk cow, but we do not give them the right to male claim about Iranian islands in the face of economic relations," he said.

"Nikzad emphasized that the Islamic Republic is waiting to hear the narratives of its friendly countries and business partners in this regard, and will ask them to be careful in their business relations so that some unusual words do not find their way into bilateral and multilateral discussions," Nikzad concluded.
